If one reaches Florianopolis, the capital of the Federal State Santa Catarina in Brazil, then one is in the economical center of the city. As a tourist one looks for perhaps more restaurants, bars, sea, beaches and so on. Then one is perhaps waived at the famous beach Praia mole better. This is on the other side of the island. Over there to come one takes e.g. in the center the bus after “Lagoa there to Conceição��?. That costs only 2,40 Reals, thus approximately 0,90 euro. The bus crosses the mountain in the center of the island. From there one has a wonderful overview of the island. At the last stop arrived one can take either another bus to the Praia mole or go also to foot. That takes then so 20 minutes and is also very interesting. One walks to Conceição, there along the Lagoa a fresh water lake, toward Praia mole. On the right side one can visit also the dunes. These find you directly at the roadside and consist of very fine sand. If one on the dunes rises has one nearly the feeling as if one would be little in the Sahara. At the way along one already finds many restaurants and bars. In the lake one finds some maintenance possibilities such as Tretboot or other small boats which at Wikinger reminds.
At the end of the road one goes through a small waldweg. For security one asks mole better again for the way to the Praia. The way leads only 5 minutes by the forest and it is unbelievably how many insects and birds one hears here. Afterwards it descends steeply a road up and then again. Afterwards one is directly at the famous Praia mole.
Here there are various broad sand beaches and high waves which to the Surfen invites. Also there are to restaurants and bars directly at the beach with a good selection of meals and beverages. The beach is well visited of wave wellen-Surfern. The beach is professionally supervised.
One goes at the beach along to the left reaches one further beaches with restaurants. The prices directly at the Praia mole move in the upper segment. There are only very few Pousadas and hotels. In a Pousada a price was offered to us by 1′500 Reals for 5 days and in the hotel 3′500 to 6′000 Reals. So that we withdrew ourselves thanking for consideration. Thus we pulled it forwards in the center of the city Florianopolis to stay overnight where the price are nevertheless somewhat more favorable. Thus the IBIS costs 95 Reals per night.
