Florianopolis

Florianopolis is an island in the south of Brazil in the Federal State Santa Catarina. The island is only some hundred meters distant from the mainland. The island is appropriate more or less parallel to the mainland and isÂ approx. 100km long and approx. for 20km broad. The island is hilly with increases up to approx. 450m. Florianopolis reaches one over a bridge. After the crossing of these one already is in the center of the Florianopolis with many multistoried buildings.

Florianopolis is completely differently than e.g. Rio de Janeiro or SÃ£o Paulo. It goes here many more arranged too and ago as in the mentioned metropolises. Also it gives much less humans on the road. One feels here a little as in Europe. That is in the whole Federal State Santa Catarina the case. There are here very many emigrated Germans. Many cities, roads and business carry German names. The criminality rate is here deepest from completely Brazil. Also humans are more brightly here as further in the north of Brazil. Many look European out.

On this, the mainland turned, side of the island the sea is very calm and also otherwise is not very much the matter. There is a market, as well as a pedestrian precinct with business, but otherwise it is rather calm. Touristisch is more interesting it on the other side of the island. There there is bars, restaurant, beaches with large waves to the Surfen. Also one finds FKK of beaches here.

Florianopolis lies as said in the south of Brazil. In the winter it can become rather cold. The best travel time for Florianopolis is December until March. It becomes not completely as warm here as in SÃ£o Paulo or Rio de Janeiro. Nevertheless the sun is very strong and one should the sun cream not forget. This even if it is cloudy.

Many people of SÃ£o Paulo come for Sylvester to Florianopolis. Therefore the prices are also usually higher for this time than otherwise. Usually there are packages for Sylvester only 5-Tages. One reaches Florianopolis with the bus of SÃ£o Paulo (nearly 700km) in approx.. 10 hours. Naturally there is also an airport. With the airplane one is in 1 hour of SÃ£o Paulo in Florianopolis.
