The famous Brazilian Day Festival in New York will take place on Sunday August 31, 2008 on 6th Avenue from 42nd - 56th Street & on 46th St. from Madison - 7th Avenue. For sure it will be a big party with some famous singers from Brazil also. 

According to CNN brazilian soccer star Ronaldinho could be sold to Manchester City. Barcelona where Ronaldinho is under contract since a few years is said to have given permission to Manchester City to talk to Ronaldinho. So it looks like the story is in an early stage.

The olympic games 2016 could take place in Rio de Janeiro. The olympic comitee IOC nominated the following four cities:

- Chicago (USA)
- Tokio (Japan)
- Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)
- Madrid (Spain)

These four cities have now time until February 2009 to give the necessary information for their nomination.
